Toastmasters International is a non-profit organization governed by a Board of Directors elected by the membership. The first Toastmasters club was established on October 22, 1924, in Santa Ana, California, by Dr. Ralph C. Smedley, who conceived and developed the idea of helping others to speak more effectively. More clubs were formed, and Toastmasters International was incorporated under California law on December 19, 1932
The mission of a Toastmasters club is to provide a mutually supportive and positive learning environment in which every member has the opportunity to develop communication and leadership skills, which in turn foster self-confidence and personal growth.
Toastmasters offers a proven way to improve your communication skills. By participating in a fun and supportive Toastmasters group, you'll become a better speaker and leader and gain confidence to succeed in whatever path you've chosen in life.

Is it the weight or ....
The glass of water
Get a glass of water and hold it out in front of you. Doing so for a minute is no problem. Doing so for an hour is going to make your arm very sore. But if you hold it for a day, you're going to have to use your other arm to call for an ambulance. The weight of the water doesn't change, but try telling that to the person holding it.
Let it go before it?s too late
Isn't it the same with negative thoughts? Let's say someone has insulted you. Playing the hurt over and over in your head and doing nothing about it makes it all the more hurtful, right? Wrong! The insult remains the same. Negative thoughts are like the glass of water. The longer you hold on to them, the heavier they will get.
Are you holding on to a negative thought? Let go before you have to call an ambulance!
